Emma Beamish

Emma brings a wide range of experience in the education sector, from the primary to university level, with expertise in supporting analytical and data skills development through real-world experiential learning. Before joining Matter of Focus in August 2025, Emma managed the Students as Change Agents programme at the University of Edinburgh. Each year, she supported more than 250 students to collaborate with private and third sector organisations on challenges relating to the Sustainable Development Goals. She has experience in partnering with a wide mix of organisations, including social enterprises, arts organisations and biotechnology startups.

Emma has a MPhil in Education, Globalisation, and International Development from the University of Cambridge. She is currently completing a PhD in International Development at the University of Edinburgh.
