What’s it like working at Matter of Focus?

We do not practice long work hours – our normal work week is based on 32 hours, with only occasional need to work over this.

We believe in work life balance, and in equal opportunities so we
strive to arrange working hours to suit people’s circumstances whether that is caring duties, need to travel to see family, hobbies, or just your exercise regime!

We have a generous holiday allowance of eight weeks holiday (pro rata including public holidays).

We’re set up to offer flexible, hybrid working. Regular visits to our office in Edinburgh are required though. But with a view straight out to Edinburgh Castle, why wouldn’t you?

We make sure the whole team gets together regularly and occasionally give ourselves challenge, such as walking across Europe or up a Munro. Ok, not literally, but we do like to encourage ourselves to clock-up some steps (or cycles, or rowing strokes!) on a virtual journey.

We’re also quite keen on the odd team quiz or task-based challenge. We’re not competitive at all…
